A 20,000 square-foot facility on Chicago's Rush University downtown Campus, the Rush Sim Center runs healthcare simulation programs for both interprofessional healthcare teams and individual practitioners across all disciplines and skill levels at Rush University and beyond.
FOUNDED ON COLLABORATION AND INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION
In addition to supporting students and professionals at Rush University, we welcome all practitioners to partner with us and utilize our facilities for specialized training. Practitioners across disciplines work together simultaneously, offering a rich experience reflective of a true medical setting. Thoughts and ideas are shared across departments to understand how responsibilities coexist when caring for a patient.
EXPERT SIMULATION PROGRAMS IN CHICAGO
Our mission is to offer a world-class simulation program that promotes the sharing of clinical knowledge and skills, in addition to innovation and education, across disciplines and practitioner populations to improve the quality and safety of patient care in the Illinois Medical District and beyond. We collaborate with user groups to develop courses tailored to specific needs, whether it’s organizing a new simulation from the ground up or supporting teams through an existing program.
FULLY ACCREDITED AND ROOTED IN RESEARCH
The Rush Sim Center is accredited by the highest standards through the American College of Surgeons and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, and is a member of the Chicago Simulation Fellowship Collaboration. It’s also home to a prolific research program and a testing site in partnership with the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons for Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery and Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery.
